Sugar-free Granola

Sugar-free Granola

High-quality granola can be quite pricey from the supermarket, so why not make your own?

We've put together a tried-and-tested, beekeeper-approved breakfast granola you're sure to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups rolled oats (not quick or instant oats)
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup manuka honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C(300°F)  and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, almonds, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan, warm the honey and coconut oil over low heat until the coconut oil is melted.
  4. Remove the honey mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir until all the oats and nuts are coated.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the granola is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
