M&H’s story began with Corey’s family and more than 40 years of beekeeping experience. In 2014, that family passion became a business, starting with just 20 hives and growing to more than 4,000.

Based in Manawatū, Corey and the M&H team work alongside their beekeepers throughout the season, travelling from Taranaki to Tora and across the central North Island. They remain involved throughout the journey—from caring for the hives and harvesting the honey to extraction, testing and packing.

For M&H, Aroha is about the connection between people, the land and the natural environment that makes Mānuka honey possible. It means respecting that journey and sharing something genuinely New Zealand, from our hands to yours.

What Does UMF™ Mean?

UMF™ is New Zealand’s independent certification system for genuine Mānuka honey. It verifies the honey’s authenticity, potency and quality.

The higher the UMF™ rating, the higher the concentration of key Mānuka compounds. MGO is another measure of potency — so UMF™ 10+, 15+, 20+ and 26+ represent progressively higher strengths.
